How do I issue complimentary/free tickets?

Warning before You Proceed: You might oversell your event. Tickets manually allocated will take up and can also override ticket and event capacities. What are ticket and event capacities?

Issuing tickets for your VIPs, Staff or Volunteers? You're in the right place! There are 3 ways to issue complimentary tickets. Find out which one suits you the best:

1. Using Manual Orders

This is particularly useful when you are looking to reserve bookings for a groups but don't necessary have or need any information from each attendee/ticket holder.
You can only reserve up to 200 tickets in one single order.

Simply follow the steps below:

  1. Go to "Events" from the top menu bar and click into the event you want to add guests to;
  2. From the left menu, click “Orders/Refunds >> Orders”;
  3. Click the “New Manual Order” button on the right side of the page;
  4. In the pop-up window, select "Complimentary" as "Payment Method" and you can also put a note in "Notes" to help you remember what this order is for;
  5. Find the relevant ticket and select how many the tickets you want to issue by choosing a number from "Quantity";
  6. You will now see a new field "Amount Paid Per Ticket” appear and simply change the amount to "0";
  7. Click "Enter Details" to issue new tickets.

2. Using Bulk Upload

This is particularly useful when you have the details from each ticket holder and wish to send them tickets individually.

You will at least need the following details from your attendees:

  • First Name
  • Last Name
  • Email
